Tania Messell is a design historian whose work spans museums, curatorial practice, research, and teaching. Working across design and material culture, she has contributed to exhibitions, collections research, and documentation at leading institutions, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Vitra Design Museum.
Her scholarly research examines design professionalisation, design and globalisation, and the intersections between design and environmental catastrophes across the long twentieth century. She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and co-editor of International Design Organisations: Histories, Legacies, Values (Bloomsbury, 2022), and has taught in Switzerland and internationally.
